When Clouds Gather What can a Parent Do?

by  Anna Stacie Charles

Being parents of a prodigal son, and a daughter weak in her Catholic Faith, seemed overwhelming to cradle Catholics who were at a loss as to how to proceed in re-converting our children. Then, a Sister of The Holy Cross told us, "Offer all your prayers to the Sacred Heart Of Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart Of Mary, via a saint's intercession."  For example, Dear Saint Jude, please intercede to Jesus, through Mary, for the return of our children to the  Faith.

Currently, we see no evidence of answers to our prayers for our children, but,   we are reaffirmed in our need for a deepening prayer life.

When you pray for a prodigal loved one we suggest praying to their saints chosen at Confirmation or at Baptism.

What joy a saint must feel when asked to intercede for a namesake!  We join in prayer with the MMG for strength in numbers and support in our individual needs.  God Bless!

Editor’s Note: Seeing no evidence of God’s movement does NOT mean He isn't active. While storms rage, the sun still shines, unseen, above he clouds. God’s Son shines on clouds of doubt over your prodigal, too. We urge everyone, keep praying with confidence that with the help of all our intercessors, the air will l someday clear and we will see God’s handiwork.
