++MESSAGE FROM THE COORDINATOR

Hi, Everyone,

          It’s a little difficult for those of us in Kansas City to think of much besides rain these days.  I’m sure our members in Texas, Oklahoma, and Missouri agree.  So let’s look at the rain as blessing and grace falling down upon ourselves and our loved ones.  Wow!  Thank you, Lord for being with us no matter what happens in this life.

Mailing labels for the newsletter will be printed next week.  If you wish to receive yours, and I do not have your postal mailing address, email it today.

          I have been having a good response to the Hutchinson members’ suggestion that each of us have a mass said during September in honor of Our Lady of Sorrows and for the return of prodigal Catholics.  Send me the date/time/church and I will post it on the web site and send you a pack of prayer cards to distribute to those who attend the mass that day. Remember, the month of September is dedicated to Our Lady of Sorrows and Sept 15 is the Feast of OL of Sorrows. It is a special way to thank Our Lady and ask her continued intercession for our prodigals. If Sep. 15th doesn‘t work, arrange for the mass to be said sometime during the month of September.  Some of you may wish to make arrangements to gather after the mass for coffee or to join in saying a special prayer.

          Father Dennis Wait will offer such a mass in the chapel of the Sanctuary of Hope Prayer and Retreat Center in Kansas City, KS on Thursday, Sept 13 at 7:30am.  You are welcome to attend and bring your friends.

Meanwhile, may we all look forward to the day when we can say with great joy, “The one for whom I have prayed, has come home!”

Peace,

MaryAnn

GOD'S WORD FOR US

I will pour out water upon the thirsty ground,

and streams upon the dry land;

I will pour out my spirit upon your offspring,

and my blessing upon your descendants.

~Isaiah 44:3

WORDS OF HOPE

Pray, hope, and don't worry. Worry is useless.

God is merciful and will hear your prayer.
