Marian Mantle Prayer Group Update For April 6, 2007

**************************************************

++MESSAGE FROM THE COORDINATOR

Hi, Everyone,

On this day of sorrow, Good Friday, may we all remember and be thankful for our God who sent His only begotten Son to die for our salvation; for the mother of Jesus who was so heavily laden with sorrow on this day so long ago, and still, at the foot of the Cross, accepted us as her children and continues today to care for each of us with a mother’s love; and finally for God’s Son who, while He prayed to have the cup of suffering and death taken from Him, also prayed, “Not my will but Thine be done.”

Let us each walk with Jesus and Mary to the hill of Calvary today and find salvation there.  May we be given the courage to repeat those words, “Not my will but Thine” and may we experience the joy of Easter and loudly proclaim each day of our lives (using my favorite Bible verse) “This is the day the Lord has made!  Let us rejoice and be glad!”

A Happy and Blessed Easter to each of you.  Remember this is the season of miracles.  Look for yours!  Let us hear about it!

Peace,

MaryAnn

GOD'S WORD FOR US

Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? And not one of them will fall to the ground without your Father's will. But even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not, therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows. So every one who acknowledges me before men, I also will acknowledge before my Father who is in heaven;     ~Matt 10:29-32

WORDS OF HOPE

The Hiding Place
(lyrics and melody by B.J. Leech)

In a time of trouble, in a time forlorn,

There is a hiding place where hope is born.

In a time of danger, when our faith is proved,

There is a hiding place, where we are loved.

In a time of sorrow, in a time of grief,

There is a hiding place, to give relief.

In a time of weakness, in a time of fear,

There is a hiding place, where God is near.

                        Refrain:

There is a Hiding Place,  a strong protective space,

Where God provides the grace, to persevere.

For nothing can remove us from the Father’s Love,

Tho’ all may change, yet nothing changes here.
