Hi, Everyone,
Yes, I know it's not the Friday for the Mantle update,
but I have a personal prayer request to make of all of you, and so many
requests have come in already that I am including them in this special update.
Please pray for Bob, Leah, and myself as we travel to
Hutchinson on Saturday for the seminar on Sunday. It's been very challenging
to get ready for this trip due to all that has happened in the last two
months. This will be, by far, the most challenging talks I have given due to
the still uncomfortable position of my arm and hip. However, I cannot help
but feel that the Lord has great plans for those who attend due to all the
difficulty surrounding it's coming about. Those involved in bringing it to
Hutchinson have set a real model for us all by spreading the word throughout
the diocese of Wichita and praying, since April, for Sunday's success. We
definitely need your prayers to get us all through the weekend--please pray
that our journey is a safe one, that my discomfort with my arm stays under
control and I can give a good delivery of the semiar, that those who have put
in so much hard work to bring it about will be rewarded with a good attendance
and a powerful movement of the Holy Spirit. We never know what is going to
happen because we, like everyone else, have to wait to see what the Lord has
in mind. We just trust that He will hold us all in His hands.
If you are planning to attend, why not invite
someone to come with you? And please come say hello to us!
Above all, we need your prayers throughout the
weekend whenever you can find the time. We especially need them from 2-4 on
Sunday afternoon. One couple has already told us they and their little girl
will be praying the rosary during that time. May God bless them and bless you
for your own special help, whatever it may be, and may He bless us all with
the grace to persevere and to love our prodigal Catholics unconditionally.
May you receive His Grace in abundance.
Hutchinson, here we come,--literally on a wing and
a prayer!
Peace,
MaryAnn
